Anne Rwigara sister to presidential aspirant Diane Rigwara dies aged 41

Anne Rwigara, the sister of Diane Rwigara who attempted to contest for president in Rwanda, is dead.
Rwigara, who died aged 41 was the daughter of the deceased prominent Rwandan businessman, Assinapol Rwigara .
She passed away on Thursday in the United States where she lived.
Anne and her mother Adeline Rwigara spent a year in jail in Rwanda over alleged tax evasion and electoral malpractices.
Diane Shima Rwigara ,who is sister to the deceased was a Rwandan businesswoman and accountant who stood as an independent candidate in the 2017 Rwandan presidential election.
Rwigara announced her intention to run in the presidential election. 72 hours later, nude photos of her were leaked in an apparent attempt to humiliate and intimidate her
Anne's dad Mr Assinapol was murdered in Feb,4,2015.
The renowned businessman, considered one of Rwanda’s richest persons, was killed in what Rwanda National Police said was an accident.
But his family came out to challenge the police narrative, instead pointing to foul play and possible murder.
The family claimed that Mr Rwigara could have been murdered and the accident stage-managed.
