Marya Okoth has opened up about her past regrets and future dating plans, among other personal matters, on her latest YouTube video.
She has been trending after her ex-YY comedian introduced his new girlfriend. While she has largely kept off, there has been pressure from her fans to respond and explain what happened that led to their breakup in September.
She did not answer this specific question but got candid in the questions below.
Her biggest regret in life?
"I would say I don't really move with regrets that much. In as much as I have had experiences that I'm not proud of, or that didn't turn out the way that I wanted to, I can just say that it's a lesson."
Marya assured her fans that even smart people make mistakes, but you should appreciate things
If you move around with regrets, you will keep bashing yourself, downgrading yourself,, and feeling that you are not good enough. So, what you can say is I learned something from it, I'm not going to repeat it again," she said about plans backfiring.
So I dont go by regrets in life; I recommend you dont as well. Never kick yourself and say failed" "
What advice would she give her younger self?
"As cliche as it may sound, hard work pays," she said about her dreams.
Marya delved into money in relationships and if she would take care of bills if her manis broke.
Would she go 50/50 in a relationship or marriage?
"It depends, every marriage is different, even if I leave this relationship for another one, It will be very different. But because Im experiencing it with someone else, it will be very totally different," she said of her capabilities
"Me as Marya I dont mind stepping up when the guy is not ok."
"Finances is a very tricky topic in marriages or relationships. And its different everywhere, so me I dont want to advise you, I can just say observe your person and do what is comfortable with you guys. Never copy what guys are doing"
Her surname is Okoth and she is proud to carry her dads name. "I carry his name everywhere, Mr Okoth, what do you mean? "She said that her dad is reserved and doesn't like appearing in her videos,
"My mum is as outgoing as I am so she doesn't mind being on camera, but my brother and my dad, they are very chini ya maji. So I dont think...maybe when I get married....which I dont know if I'll post, ei ghai bloggers," she stops her comments exposing herself.
"I dont think I want to expose them to you people like that so you guys just know that Mr Okoth is a very good person, that's why I carry his name with pride"
Does she have a boyfriend?
She muffles her laughter at the thought of answering this question on dating a new man.
"Do I have a boyfriend? Ghai si you guys help me answer. Anyway, yoh" she flips her wig, laughing and looking at her camera. "Do I have a boyfriend? Guys, I dont know, like you are free to use my words against me but....ok I feel like telling you I dont think I'll ever do a public relationship again, but never say never. But even if I had a boyfriend, ei inakuwa ngumu, saa zingine ni ngumu sana, heh mnafanya hesabu ya minus kwa maisha yangu" she laughs again uncontrobllably.
"Yoh kuna kuwa na joto tena, yeah so if I had a boyfriend, you guys would see signs. So if you know signs of a girl who has a boyfriend, you would definitely tell if I have a boyfriend or not"
"But weh sina mtu. Unajua naweza sema hivyo na waseme, you see she has added weight, she is happy, she has a boyfriend! No guys, I dont have a boyfriend, Let me make it clear, I dont have a boyfriend. Thanks!"
