Media influencer and seasoned content creator Director Trevor has shared his compelling desire to return to college, nearly four years after dropping out in 2020.
The digital content creator also pointed out his regret in not agreeing to a corporate 9-5 job contract when an offer was presented to him. Noting that even though being self employed has its perks such as flexibility when it comes to time, he at times craves the security and peace of mind that comes with having a regular salary.
Speaking on why he never finished his degree the videographer said, "nikiwa JKUAT nilikua na issue ya school fees lakini kitu poa ikahappen, Corona.
Hiyo period ya corona ndio nilianza kufanya more of kazi za online. By the time corona ilikua inaisha nilikua nishabuild brand so sikurudi shule,"
But he now intends on rectifying his earlier miscalculation and get his papers. "I am planning to go back to school in South Africa kusomea Cinematic Arts," Trevor added.
Touching on whether he's ever envisioned being employed, the young creative revealed he actually craves it.
According to him, being employed saves one from pressure and gives them peace of mind.
"Sometimes nawish ningekua na 9-5 job. I feel unapata peace of mind, hauna mambo mingi, hauna pressure. Ukirun your own things as a businessman unakuanga na pressure, stress, haulali unafikiria tu...." the content creator voiced. Before going ahead to narrate how he had a lucrative deal that he let slide which he at times wishes he hadn't.
"Nishaitiwa a very big job with a very big media company and I'm sure walikua wanataka kunilipa pesa mingi but by that time I was making money online na nilikua na freedom.
Sometimes nakaa nawish ningeenda because hiyo media company iko majuu so I'm very sure ningepostiwa Africa. Ningekua natravel sana. I feel nilifanya makosa juu ya kukataa iyo job," Trevor stated.
