Actor Daddie Marto has said peace makes people uncomfortable and declared that he has moved on from carrying shame that is not his.
In an Instagram post on Monday, December 15, 2025, he explained how choosing peace is often misunderstood.
“Peace makes people uncomfortable, especially when it looks like shamelessness to those who live on judgement,” he said, making it clear that his current state of mind is intentional.
He addressed the label often placed on him and rejected it openly.
“If shameless means living without borrowed guilt, I’ll take it,” Marto said.

He added that he has made a personal decision to let go of blame and shame that do not belong to him.
“I stopped carrying shame that wasn’t mine. I’ve moved on,” he stated, signalling a clear shift in how he views his life and choices.
Marto also invited others to embrace the same mindset. “You’re welcome to join me,” he said, encouraging people to free themselves from judgment and guilt.
He described himself as someone who values honesty, saying, “Mimi ni mpenda watu na watu wakipendwa waambiwe ukweli.” According to him, truth and peace go hand in hand, even when that truth makes others uncomfortable.
This year has been challenging for Daddie Marto following a difficult separation from his wife, Koku Lwanga, a process that drew wide public attention. The split was heavily discussed and appeared to affect him deeply. While he has not shared many details about the separation, his recent messages point to a period of reflection and emotional growth.
Through his posts, Marto has shown signs of learning and rebuilding. His words suggest that the separation tested his strength and forced him to reexamine relationships and personal boundaries.
The experience seems to have shaped his views on emotional support and expectations from others. His statements reflect lessons about being valued only in certain moments and the importance of self-worth beyond public opinion.
For Marto, moving on does not mean bitterness or isolation. Instead, it means choosing peace and honesty, even when they are misunderstood.
