Award-winning scriptwriter and actor Abel Mutua has been thrown into mourning following the untimely demise of a loved one.

The father of one, vaguely shared the news of his loss on his Instagram page to his over 681k fans and followers, mourning a young man who had clearly meant so much to him.

Abel, also known as Mkurugenzi however, avoided giving further details on who had passed and what had led to their death.

Sharing the sad news the 'Click Click Bang' director, posted a photo of a police land cruiser packed at a petrol station in a rural like area as he went on to eulogize the deceased.

"In this truck lies the lifeless body of a once vibrant young man whose life has been tragically cut short at the tender age of 23," part of Abel's emotional caption read.

Finishing up, Abel interestingly added that they had tried to help the deceased but their efforts had sadly been in vain.

"Rest in Peace my brother. We tried our best but I guess our best wasn’t good enough. Round 2 Brathe. ?️?️?️," the last of his post read.

Comments left under Abel Mutua's post suggest that the deceased was his younger brother.
