Nigerian Singer Tiwa Savage has been forced to cancel her much-anticipated London show after being on compulsory vocal rest by her doctors.
In an official statement released via her socials, a heartbroken Tiwa informed her fans that she will be taking a break from music until she is fully healed.
The singer mentioned that she has been fighting a virus that is now affecting her vocals hence the two months' rest from music.
“To my dear Savage Soldiers, I’ve been fighting off a virus for the past few weeks and was today firmly instructed to be on strict vocal rest for the next few months,” Tiwa Savage said in part.
A heartbroken Tiwa stated that she had been forced to postpone her first-ever headline arena show due to the illness.
“I will unfortunately have to postpone all performances including my First ever headline arena show in London.
“I'm heartbroken and devastated but I have to do this to save what’s Left of my voice,” she added.
“I'm so sorry. I love you all and promise to be back performing once I'm fully healed,”.
Tiwa was scheduled to perform in London on November 26th, 2023 in a concert dubbed “Towa Savage and Friends”.
Just the other day, Tiwa was in Nairobi, Kenya where she performed at Walker Town Nairobi Edition.
She performed alongside Fally Ipupa and Nyashinki. The three were the headliners of Walker Town- a show organized by Johnnie Walker.
