Chiki Kuruka, Bien's manager, reveals new details about Solfest

Bien's manager Chiki Kuruka has clarified why there will be a Sol Fest concert this year explaining the thin line that separates Sauti Sol from Sol Fest.

Earlier this year Sauti Sol announced the show will still be going on and Sol Fest 2024 is a go! This left fans a little confused as last year the BET Award-winning music band had bid adieu to their fans, announcing their breakup while maintaining the 4th November show was their last performance.

Speaking to Mpasho's Hannie Petra, dance choreographer Chiki got candid about the show's nitty gritty, stating, "Sol Fest is just one among the many companies that Sauti have. They have this and they have Sol Generation and others.

What people do not get is that Sol Fest is a festival thus the festival is still happening."

Keen to fully clear the air on the whole confusion the fitness enthusiast added, "The festival is owned by Sauti Sol so of course it is Sauti Sol but the thing is it is not a Sauti Sol concert but a festival organized and owned by them,"

Touching on the balance between managing Bien and being his wife Chiki passionately stated, "There is something beautiful about doing something as a family. I think when you are a travelling artist, being able to travel together with your loved one means you get to experience this thing and other new things together."

She also shared her deep passion for the creative arts scene emphasizing being in the craft and watching her husband work and inspire and lend a hand to other artists is just phenomenal.

"We are both so passionate about creative arts and performances, so I mean if I were not managing him, he would still come home and talk to me about these things so why not take the cost of the manager out and bring the cost back home," the digital content creator candidly said.
