Media personality Oga Obinna has hit back at people accusing him of using the late musician Shalkido for sacrifice. The entertainer responded after online speculation linked him to the tragic death of the artist.

Shalkido, who was one half of the popular Gengetone duo Sailors, passed away recently, and his death has sparked several false claims. Some social media users suggested that Obinna’s success was tied to dark rituals, with others pointing to his car number plate as proof.

In response, Obinna posted a video of content creator Prince Mwiti on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, defending him and calling out those spreading lies. Mwiti dismissed the rumours as baseless and said people had become too quick to twist every situation.

“Mahali imefika, kila mtu akae kiviyake na mashida zake,” Mwiti said. “Unasaidia mtu dakika mbili kitu ikifanyika, ulimtoa kafara. Kila mtu akae kivyake. Mtu anakaa hivi, gari ya Obinna ni 666, tumekubali ku elevate the devil. Kwani ni mashetani pekee zinaweza pea mtu pesa? Kwani mungu hawezi pea mtu pesa? Kwindeni huko.”

His message was a direct response to those claiming that Obinna’s car, which has the number 666, was a symbol of evil. Mwiti argued that not every success story should be linked to demonic power, insisting that God can also bless people with wealth.

Obinna’s strong reaction

Sharing the video, Obinna added his own words, expressing disappointment and frustration over how people quickly turn against others even when they mean well. “Nimejichuna maskio. Nijikute tena. Wanadamu hawana shukrani. Saa hii kila mtu apambane tu,” he wrote.

He went on to say that no matter what one does, people will always find a reason to criticise. “Dammed if you do, dammed if you don’t. I would rather when I don’t,” he added.
