Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka accuses the state of using proxies to delay the reconstitution of IEBC

Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka now wants an injunction barring the formation of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) lifted to pave the way for reconstitution of the electoral body.
There is an injunction at the court of appeal challenging the setting up of a selection panel which will search for new commissioners.
Kalonzo has now accused the state of using a proxy to deliberately delay the process of hiring a new commission through court cases.
"They have wasted alot of time. Let them withdraw the case that is state sponsored through a judge in Kiambu. That was a tactic to delay reconstitution of the panel and then the IEBC," Kalonzo stated
"The ball is in William Ruto's court to tell his proxies to withdraw the matter in the Court of Appeal."
Setting the nine member panel has suffered a blow following the tussle within Azimio la Umoja pitting National Liberal Party (NLP) and Wiper party in picking a representative to the panel.
NLP had fronted Dr. Augustus Muli while Kalonzo led Wiper picked Dr. Koki Muli to be appointed to the panel.
Kalonzo who was speaking at SKM in an end year review of the Kenya Kwanza regime castigated the govt for performing below the expectations of Kenyan in a year riddled with forceful abductions and extra judicial killings.
