Why Stevo Simple Boy and Geoffrey Mosiria Are Eager to Work Together

The Mihadarati hitmaker is seeking to mobilize support from all quarters of society, to address the challenge of drug and alcohol addiction and hopefully empower young Kenyans.

Singer Stevo Simple Boy and Nairobi County Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria bonded over their anti-drug stance in a meeting in the latter's office.

The two have been very vocal about the ills facing society, with drugs and alcohol affecting the lives of many youths.

That meeting happened March 12, with Mosiria giving his strongest support to the campaign.

"Mheshimiwa, Stevo Simple Boy here. salama sana manze, nime tafuta sana watu wanisaidie, lakini, the right person ni wewe to form the Simpel Boy Foundation, . This aims to help young men wawache mihadarati,"

He wrote again of his desire

"I have started a foundation to help youths quit drugs, in collaboration with @geoffrey_mosiria I know we will help many youths quit drugs. Kenyans help us save our society."

He continued

Stevo has a song called Mihadarati, which he released in 2017, placing a passionate plea to youths while creating awareness about drug use.

Speaking in Mombasa, where stakeholders from six coastal counties convened, Principal Secretary for Public Health and Professional Standards, Mary Muthoni, emphasized the need for collective action.

“The fight against drug and substance abuse is a national priority. We must empower communities, strengthen enforcement, and provide support systems to break the cycle of addiction,” she stated.
