Seven merchant shipping tankers are scheduled to call at the Port of Mombasa this week to deliver petroleum products and palm oil, according to the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) shipping schedule.
The vessels include M.T. Bellatrix, which is carrying more than 21,000 tonnes of Shell V-Power petrol for discharge at the Shimanzi Oil Terminal.
Vivo Energy Kenya, which imports and distributes Shell V-Power in Kenya, stores the fuel at its Mombasa terminal before transporting it to Shell service stations across the country. It also uses Kenya Railways tankers to move the fuel from Mombasa to Nairobi.
Other vessels scheduled to discharge at Shimanzi include M.T. Bow Lynx, carrying 4,900 tonnes of base oil.
At Kipevu Oil Terminal II, M.T. Torm Sublime is listed to discharge 85,000 tonnes of diesel, while M.T. Maria is carrying 40,000 tonnes of diesel. M.T. Pis Rinjani is also scheduled to discharge 85,000 tonnes of petrol.
The remaining two vessels, M.T. Arctic Tern and M.T. Melati 3, are expected to discharge palm oil.
The company also says the fuel is formulated to provide continuous protection against corrosion and deposits.
Vivo Energy Kenya operates more than 350 service stations countrywide, offering motorists access to fuel products and other service.
Six Other Tankers Scheduled at Mombasa Port
Besides M.T. Bellatrix, six other merchant shipping tankers are listed in the shipping schedule for discharge at various terminals at the Port of Mombasa.
M.T. Bow Lynx, carrying 4,900 metric tonnes of base oil, is scheduled to discharge its cargo at the Shimanzi Oil Terminal.
At Kipevu Oil Terminal II (KOT II), M.T. Torm Sublime is listed to discharge 85,000 metric tonnes of gasoil, commonly known as diesel.
M.T. Maria is scheduled to discharge another 40,000 metric tonnes of gasoil, while M.T. Pis Rinjani is carrying 85,000 metric tonnes of motor gasoline (MOGAS), commonly known as petrol.
The port is also receiving M.T. Arctic Tern and Melati 3, which are scheduled to discharge palm oil cargoes.
The seven tankers form part of the vessels listed to call at the Port of Mombasa during the week, delivering petroleum products, industrial oils and other commodities through Kenya’s main seaport.
The latest announcement follows KPA’s October 21, 2026 statement that 51 vessels were expected to call at the ports of Mombasa and Lamu over the next 14 days.
Mombasa Port is expected to receive 41 vessels, including six oil tankers, 26 container ships, seven conventional cargo vessels and two car carriers.
“Six oil tankers are among 51 vessels expected to call at the ports of Mombasa and Lamu over the next 14 days. The Port of Mombasa will welcome 41 ships, including 6 oil tankers, 26 container ships, 7 conventional cargo vessels and 2 car carriers,” KPA said
