Former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has revealed that he has established a special team to gather evidence against President William Ruto, as they prepare to file a case against him at the International Criminal Court.
Speaking to Kenyans in Seattle, Washington State, on Friday, the former DP alleged that the killings taking place in Kenya are crimes admissible before the ICC, and that steps must be taken to ensure those enabling them face the law.
"I want to confirm that I have put up a team that is documenting all the atrocities, the killings, displacements, disappearances, and abductions taking place in Kenya," Gachagua revealed.
"We have a team that is putting evidence together to take William Ruto to the ICC at The Hague," Gachagua continued.
According to the former DP, Ruto's ICC file over the 2007 post-election violence was not concluded but merely put on hold, and they now intend to add this new case to it.
The DCP leader revealed that the case was only suspended because witnesses had disappeared; however, this time around, his team is ensuring that everything is in place to ensure Ruto faces the consequences.
According to Gachagua, the current state of insecurity is forcing Kenyans to live in fear in their own country.
According to reports from the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), over 30 people lost their lives during the recent Saba Saba protests.
The marches saw clashes erupt between protesters a
nd police in the capital, Nairobi, as well as in other counties, with the KNCHR accusing the police of cooperating with armed gangs, who were allegedly armed with machetes and spears, in the wake of the violence.

Following these worrying reports, Gachagua has called on Kenyans in diaspora to join the group not only in sending Ruto home, but also in ensuring he faces the consequences of all his actions.
"That is a battle that I would like to invite you to help in. We have no other recourse to save our country other than sending Ruto home. We must all play a role, you cannot be silent, you must play a role in the liberation of our country," Gachagua told the Kenyans in the diaspora.
The former DP is currently in the US for a tour to drum up support for his Wantam agenda.
