"Pesa sio Shida": Mungai Eve splashes Sh753k on expensive booze in lavish birthday party
Media personality Mungai Eve is trending after she posted a receipt showing she allegedly spent Sh753,400 at Nairobi’s Habanos Lounge during her 25th birthday celebration.
The YouTube star shared the details of her big night out, highlighting some of the items she reportedly bought.
The receipt featured an impressive lineup of luxury drinks, including three bottles of Hennessy XO, each going for Sh60,000, and ten bottles of Hennessy VSOP at Sh19,500 apiece.
Her party also included twenty-four Habanos-branded water bottles at Sh200 each, five bottles of Moët & Chandon Impérial Brut at Sh18,000 each, four bottles of Moët & Chandon Nectar Impérial priced at Sh20,000 each, and two bottles of Clase Azul Tequila from Mexico, each costing a staggering Sh100,000.

Mungai Eve had been teasing the grand celebration days in advance, with posts about the party appearing on her social media from as early as April 4.
The actual event went down on April 6 at the upscale Habanos Lounge, where she hosted a glamorous bash attended by some of Kenya’s top celebrities and influencers.
She made a bold fashion statement on the night, stepping out in a golden balaclava and a matching two-piece mesh-like outfit that quickly turned heads and lit up the timeline.
Among the high-profile guests spotted at the party were media personality Kendi Christine, content creators Dem Wa Facebook and Thee Pluto, actress Trisha Khalid, MC Claudia Naisabwa, comedian Eric Omondi and others.
The extravagant birthday celebration sparked a wave of mixed reactions online. While many fans sent her warm wishes and praised her glamorous night, others were left stunned by the bill.
One fan wrote, “Really, Mungai Eve is just adorable and lovable,” while another said, “Happy birthday once more... sherehe smart sana.”

However, not all the reactions were positive. Some users questioned the extravagance, with one joking, “Flexing a bill receipt is giving kienyeji vibes, kujeni mnipigee.”
Another took a more serious tone, suggesting the money could have been used to support a worthy cause: “Angepeleka hizo doo children home angepata more blessings.”
