Moses Kuria reveals the cabinet was defective and deserved to be dissolved before the President's dismissal

Former Cabinet Secretary for Performance Management and Public Service, Moses Kuria claimed that the Cabinet which was dismissed on Thursday was already defective and was seemingly showing cracks.

Speaking to Citizen TV on Sunday, Moses Kuria ascertained that the Cabinet already had difficulties conducting business and hosting committee meetings.

He further added that some of the people were attempting to stage coups and overthrow the current regime.

“We had problems even to hold cabinet committees was a problem, and I would like to give the President a chance to reform his government,” stated Moses Kuria.

He further added that the cabinet deserved to be dissolved long before the President fired the Cabinet Secretaries.

Kuria also added that he was in support of the President’s plan to have an inclusive cabinet which would unite all Kenyans.

This is after Ruto hinted at joining hands with Azimio in the upcoming cabinet appointments.

However, he apologised to the Kenyan Youth stating that he initially underestimated the power and the Gen-Z Movement

“Gen Zs have proven me wrong. They have shown that they can become an important engine in taking this country forward. If God tells me to close my eyes and make a wish, I would want to be Gen Z,” he added.

On the other hand, former Youth and Sports Affairs CS, Ababu Namwamba stated that he believed he had done his best within the position granted to him.

In particular, he highlighted Kenya's winning bid to host the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027 and Harambee Junior Starlets qualifying for the FIFA U-17 World Cup as some of his major achievements.

“I believe I have done a fantastic job. I mean we have revived sports. We got FIFA to lift the suspension of football and we have AFCON coming to Kenya for the first time,” Namwamba stated.
