Maureen Waititu Speaks Out After Getting Bullied

Maureen Waititu has spoken out after receiving harsh messages from an online user who targeted her personal life, her mental health, and even her children.

Talking about it on Instagram on Monday, November 17, 2025, she said the user created a pseudo account with the aim of attacking her because she has been sharing her transformation journey.

Waititu said the account holder was “a very determined person to clobber me because I have been sharing my transformation journey.” She added that after the insults directed at her did not achieve the reaction the bully wanted, the attacks shifted to her children.

According to her, “So, since she…..if at all she is one- would rather create a pseudo account to insult my mental health, and when she couldn’t get the satisfaction she wanted, she decided to go after my children.”

Waititu strongly defended her children and condemned the insults aimed at them. She wrote, “First ‘Nancy’, my kids, ugly ducklings? My babies are blessed and highly favoured. I cancel every single demonic utterance upon them in the name of Jesus.”

She then urged the online user to find peace instead of spending time creating accounts meant to spread hate. She said, “‘Ma’am’, I also pray that you may find enough joy and purpose in your heart and soul so you don’t find yourself wasting your precious time to create pseudo accounts for purposes of spilling bile on a person who is just living their best life.”

Waititu said that attacks tied to her past no longer affect her because she has moved on. She compared it to “trying to criticise an old house that I no longer live in.” She said her life is now stable and she is doing well.

“My mental and physical health are at their best right now, and I hope that you get the help you need,” she wrote while addressing the bully.

She explained that although many people encourage ignoring and blocking such accounts, she sometimes feels the need to speak out so others going through similar experiences know they are not alone. Waititu said the online space can be difficult for many people who face silent struggles.
