Kenyan artist causing Harmonize significant distress on YouTube

Bongo Flava star, Rajab Abdul Kahali, popularly known as Harmonize, has voiced his complaints after his new song ‘Sherehe’ was taken down from YouTube.

In a statement on Instagram, the Konde Music Worldwide boss claimed that the person responsible for the removal of his song is a Kenyan artist.

He pointed out that this is not the first time his song has been taken down while gaining popularity, following complaints lodged by a Kenyan artist on YouTube.

“This is not the first time!! When a song starts gaining traction, it gets taken down on YouTube, and several times when we investigate, we find out that someone claiming to be from Kenya is behind it,” Harmonize complained.

He continued, “What I know is that Kenyans love and support Konde Boy a lot!! Day 1, we’ve always been together. Pray for Kenya. If you remember well, when I released #UNO in 2020, it was taken down by a producer who is said to be Kenyan. He managed to convince YouTube that the song was his until he realized it wasn’t right and apologized publicly!”

The former WCB artist explained that the song was removed while he and his team were recording its video.

“Sorry to all Kondegang members, the team is working hard to address this issue before the video is released!! There’s nothing we can do, I’m sure he is still a big fan, and I interpret this as another form of love,” he said.

In the video he posted, Konde Boy revealed that he woke up at 10 a.m. to shoot the video for the song only to find that it had already been removed.
