Immigration announces no more appointment bookings required for passport collection

Booking appointments for passport collection is no longer required.

This is according to the Directorate of Immigration Services.

The move is to help  streamline the passport collection process, making it more convenient for applicants.

In a statement released on Sunday, the Directorate announced that

“We have simplified the process of passport delivery: applicants are no longer required to book an appointment to collect passports,” the Directorate stated on X.

Applicants will now receive a message from the Immigration Department confirming that their application has been processed and the passport is printed.

After receiving this confirmation, applicants can proceed directly to the collection desk at the location where they applied to pick up their documents.

The Directorate noted that these changes were made in response to public feedback and are part of their ongoing commitment to improving efficiency and accessibility.

“The Directorate of Immigration Services is listening and open to all emerging issues.”

The Directorate also encouraged the public to contact them with any concerns or suggestions.
