Eko Dydda hits back after a fan criticized his new song

Renowned gospel artist Eko Dydda has clapped back at a fan who criticized his latest hit dubed ‘Am very rare’.

The musician has been silent in the recent past despite being a star a few years ago.

On his socials, a fan questioned whether the song was truly gospel music and suggested that Dydda should look to other countries for inspiration.

Dydda defended his artistic expression, rejecting the notion that gospel music must conform to a specific formula. He emphasized the spiritual mission behind his music and dismissed the idea that international reach is the sole measure of success.

‘‘Nime notice kuna watu wakiskia tu beat ya hip-hop wanajipata NEGATIVITY BUTTON ON. Lakini nani aliroga wakristo, why are you obsessed about the devil, how could you be looking for the devil even in heaven 😅

I AM SATISFIED WITH WHAT MY LORD AND SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST OFFERED me…

YOU WANT TO SAY YOU DIDN’T HEAR ME SAY AM NOT ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL IN VERSE ONE OF THIS SONG 😂😂😂😂😂

The bible says GOD’S CHILDREN KNOWS HIS VOICE, if you are confused find out who you have been listening to, is it really GOD instructing you to find out the devil in everything or GOD TELLS YOU TO SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD AND THE REST SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU?

If you know that bible verse why would you think I would be stupid enough to be looking for wealth or anything from elsewhere if JESUS already offered me everything ? 😅😅

WEWE AMKA BWANA WACHA UPUZI utakojoa kwa kitanda,” Dydda wrote.

The rapper also addressed the issue of self-doubt among Kenyans, criticizing their tendency to compare themselves unfavorably to others. He encouraged Kenyans to embrace their own unique talents and avoid overlooking local artists.

Dydda’s response highlights the ongoing debate about the definition of gospel music and the importance of artistic freedom. While some may prioritize international recognition, Dydda believes that the true value of gospel music lies in its spiritual impact.
