DAP-K Dismisses Fake Letter Announcing The Expulsion Of Eugene Wamalwa
The Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K) has dismissed a widely circulated letter that purportedly announced the expulsion of party leader Eugene Wamalwa from the party.
The letter, widely circulated on social media, claimed that the party's National Executive Committee (NEC) had convened an emergency meeting to remove Wamalwa from his position with immediate effect.
In a move to quell the rumours, DAP-K flagged the letter as fake and misleading, insisting that no such meeting took place and no such resolutions were passed.
According to DAP-K, the letter was a fabrication designed to mislead members of the public and create confusion within the party’s ranks.
The fake letter alleged that NEC resolutions proposed replacing Wamalwa with Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya as the new party leader and Ayub Savula as the Deputy party leader.

Similarly, the flagged document carried a forged signature attributed to Seth Panyako as the new acting party secretary general.
DAP-K has since reiterated that the party’s leadership structure remains intact and that any official communication regarding internal changes would be issued through verified channels.
The party further condemned the circulation of falsified documents, describing it as an attempt to sow discord and destabilise the party ahead of key political activities.
Governor George Natembeya, while dismissing the claims, noted that the fake letter was allegedly being circulated by some pro-government politicians to sow division within the party.
He, in particular, alleged that it was a well-coordinated move to interfere with the upcoming Malava parliamentary seat in favour of the pro-government candidate.
"This letter is being circulated by UDA members who already know we are on the verge of winning the Malava seat. It is a calculated attempt to create confusion and distract our people. Ignore it in its entirety," Natembeya claimed.
He added, "Stay focused, we are firmly on course, and we are winning the Malava seat. Malava is a one-people constituency; it is a win for Seth Panyako.
