CFAO Mobility Kenya acquires TYDIA, becomes official Michelin distributor

CFAO Mobility Kenya has acquired Tyre Distribution Africa (TYDIA), becoming the official distributor of Michelin and BF Goodrich tyres in East Africa.

This strategic move bolsters CFAO Mobility Kenya’s footprint in the automotive sector, enhancing its tyre distribution network across the region.

TYDIA has earned a reputation for supplying high-quality tyres for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and construction equipment, supported by an efficient distribution network.

Through the acquisition, CFAO Mobility Kenya aims to improve the availability of Michelin and BF Goodrich tyres in wholesale and retail markets, leveraging TYDIA’s infrastructure to provide better access to high-quality tyres for a broader customer base.

“This acquisition strengthens our presence in the East African market and allows us to offer an even wider range of tyre options to our customers,” said Arvinder Reel, Managing Director of CFAO Mobility Kenya.

“With Michelin and BF Goodrich tyres now part of our portfolio, we are enhancing our ability to meet the diverse needs of our customers in the region.”

CFAO Mobility Kenya plans to establish a new tyre department targeting new customer segments, focusing on introducing innovative products suited to East Africa’s varied driving conditions.

This acquisition underscores CFAO Mobility Kenya’s commitment to long-term growth and its role as a trusted partner in the tyre industry.

The deal is expected to benefit a wide range of customers, from individual vehicle owners to commercial fleets, as the company solidifies its position in the regional automotive market.
