Kenyan music sensation Nadia Mukami has taken a stand against critics, alleging that her latest track, 'Woza', plagiarized the melody of Tanzanian star Zuchu’s song, 'Amanda'.

Nadia firmly denied that her new brand song was copied or sampled. She insisted that the comparisons being made were unjustified.

 

"I have noted the comparison of my brand-new song with numerous songs, and I want to make it CLEAR! I have not copied or sampled ANYONE’S SONG!” she declared to her fans.

 

The artist explained that her work is part of a wider musical trend. She clarified that she was simply jumping on a popular sound. Her producer, Teknixx, helped her achieve this trendy sound.

Nadia stressed that using a trendy sound is common practice among many top African artists. She noted that she is focused on exploring different sounds in her craft.

Nadia explained that when other artists use the sound, it is seen as normal. However, when she participates in the trend, she faces allegations of copying.

 

"So many people have done this sound. It's just that it's a trendy sound."
