Social media personality Abedinecho Katue has dismissed claims circulating online that he has children and has failed to support them, terming the claims as baseless lies meant to tarnish his name.

In a lengthy statement shared on his official Facebook page on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Katue expressed frustration over the rumours, saying some people were fabricating false documents and fake chats to spread misleading information about his personal life.

“Huwa sipendi kujibu vitu za ujinga,” Katue wrote. “But let me make it clear: sina mtoto anywhere, not one, not two, not three. This is pure nonsense, pure madness.”

Katue, who is based abroad, went on to make it clear that he does not have any children anywhere in the world, insisting that if he did, he would proudly share that part of his life with his fans.

“Mimi vile napenda watoi, I promise ningekuwa na mmoja mahali ningekuwa na mpost kila siku… DAILY! Ka-Abedy Junior,” he said. “But I don’t have any child anywhere, not one, not two, not three. This is pure madness!”

The online personality further revealed that he was taking the matter seriously and would pursue legal action against those spreading the false information.

He accused individuals of cyberbullying and warned that defamation laws would be applied against anyone sharing or promoting the false claims.

“If indeed someone is posting this ridiculous false claim about me, I will take legal action against that individual,” he wrote.

“Anyone who has shared or promoted that falsehood will be equally held responsible for tarnishing my name. Cyberbullying and defamation are crimes punishable by law, and this nonsense must stop.”

Katue concluded by assuring his followers that he was already following up on the matter, saying, “Guys, don’t worry about it; trust me, I got this!
