A Brazilian beauty who made headlines last year by claiming to marry herself has reportedly grown tired of the unconventional union and is now heading to court for a divorce.
Initially, Suellen Carey's self-marriage was accepted by people in her community. The unusual act of marrying oneself was seen as a bold and positive expression of self-love and independence.
However, a few months later, Suellen appears to be dissatisfied with her decision.
Despite her efforts to make the marriage work, including attending couples therapy alone, she reportedly felt completely unfulfilled in the union.
She even felt lonely in the marriage, which ultimately led her to decide to leave and file for divorce.
In a recent interview, Suellen discussed her experience with solo marriage and what led her to choose to end it.
She mentioned having high expectations for the marriage that she felt were unmet, leading her to feel very weary in the relationship.
She also described frequent feelings of loneliness, which made her realize that she needed a genuine partner in her life.
“Personal analysis and reflection are crucial,” she said. She also shared that her solo marriage and personal commitment faced their own challenges.
