Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has offered some heartfelt advice to influencer Amal Sonko after her wedding. Known for his candid and often unfiltered takes, Sonko's words were a reminder that while the wedding day is a celebration of love, the journey that follows requires hard work, patience, and mutual respect.
Mike Sonko conveyed a powerful message: Marriage isn't just a storybook romance; it's a collaborative journey that requires dedication from both partners. The well-known politician and philanthropist highlighted that respect is fundamental to a thriving marriage. He pointed out that while love is important, it isn't sufficient to keep a relationship strong over the years. The true test comes in upholding mutual respect, especially during challenging moments.
“Congratulations Amal Sonko on your marriage. I want to advise you that Marriage sio rahisi bali ni kuheshimiana na kuvumiliana. Always respect one another,” Sonko wrote in his post. “As a single mum ensure the man you're bringing to your house is mature enough to love your kids as his own and that he will treat you and your kids right. Kama si hivyo wacha uendele kukaa single. otherwise I wish you both a happy and prosperous future.”
