Zari Hassan's husband Shakib Cham won a boxing match against Ugandan media personality JK Kazoora on Saturday night.
Cham however won after Kazoora surrendered making him the winner of the match.
Shakib had asked fans to buy tickets for the match which was also broadcaster live at an arena "Boxing is a brutal game, but that’s what makes it so thrilling! Let’s gamble on the outcome and make it even more exciting," he wrote
Some fans speculate that the outcome of the match may have been planned.
The event was packed with fans and celebrities among them Zari Hassan who went to support her husband.
The match comes months after Tanzanian singer Harmonize released messages from Shakib who asked the singer to get into the boxing ring with him as a form of making money.
The singer has shared a conversation he had with Shakib on his DMs. The screenshot shows that Shakib reached out to Harmonize requesting a boxing match with proceeds being used for charity.
"Would love to have a boxing match with you as well in Tanzania, we would make money out of it and do charity as well. Hope to hear from you soon on this." read a message Shakib sent to Konde Boy.
Harmonize shared the screenshots with a message for Zari. "Zari are you aware of this? Your man is trying to play with death," he said.
