Businesswoman, social media influencer, and Bahati’s baby mama, Yvette Obura, has recounted how she almost ended up homeless last year.

Speaking via her TikTok account, Yvette started with thanking heavens for always being with her and turning things around in her favor, even when she was on her lowest.

“My family, friends, and people around me know I was almost becoming homeless.

Last year was so hard for me. I was on the verge of being homeless. I was in a very bad place. I would lock myself in the room and cry every day. But one thing about me is that I never give up on God and praying. In April is when I lost everything; I mean everything,” she shared.

Yvette recalled how she was having a hard time trying to deal with reality back then, something that was making her have second thoughts of relocating from her two-bedroom house.

“In April is when I lost everything. When I say everything, I mean everything… I remember telling my sister, Life is so hard, and at this point I think I will go to Mom’s or relocate from my 2 bedrooms to a bedsitter, and she was like, No, we serve a living God.” She said.

She got a break through when she went down on her knees seeking God’s salvation, and he didn’t disappoint her; her life was turned around, and she rose from sleeping on a mattress to being capable of affording things that she never thought she could.

“If you told me last year at a time like this that I would be able to afford to pay for my trip to Dubai,… it means a lot where I am as of now, and it is truly a blessing. I remember telling God, I want to make my daughter so proud, and I thank God my daughter has able parents. Like Akikosa Huku, Huko Kwingine Atapata.

For someone who went from sleeping on a mattress within a year, I upgraded my mom’s car; I traveled three times; this year I am in Dubai with my bestie; it is all really a testimony.” Yvette shared.

She concluded by saying that the essence of doing the live and sharing the story is because she wanted to inspire people out there to not give up and trust in the road, no matter how tough the journey may be.

A while back Yvette described the Bahati’s as exemplary parents to her daughter, Mueni, and emphasized that they have never had any major conflicts.

“Co-parenting is amazing. I think the only fight we have with Bahati is that anataka Mueni akae kwake sana. Hatujawahi pigana. They are amazing people,” she said.

Bahati whose a Kenyan artist and engaged to Diana Marua share a child with Yvette Obura ‘Mueni’ and he has always provided without question.
