Gospel minister Linet Munyali aka Size 8 Reborn is celebrating her decision to get saved 12 years ago.
The singer noted how naysayers were not convinced about her decision, when she took that decision to become saved.
"It is now 12 years since i gave my life to Jesus Christ........God rescued me from the pit of darkness and saved me by His grace yet i was one of the chief of sinners.....His mercy said no to the death of my spirit and degenerated soul...."
The skepticism from sections of society did not escape her notice.
"Many said my salvation won't last even a week thinking that i was holding my own salvation but they underestímated the power of God that is able to save and sustain us in salvation..... i am a living proof that God is real , His mercy is real, His grace and power is real......And He is love! Help me celebrate Jesus Christ my savior...... i am born again ..... NIMEOKOKA!"
Over the years, the mother of two has been speaking out about her journey, detailing some of the things she had to give up o become a new person.
She re-branded he name to become Size 8 Reborn, in 2012.
When she was a secular artiste, she gained earthly possessions that she said she had to give away, including her car. The car was given to a friend, as she testified about this;
“When I started in the secular world I had to let go of a lot of things because I didn’t get them from the right channel. So I was given a test to see if I will let got those things and follow Christ. The book of Mark says whatever you leave behind to follow Christ you get 100%…
So everything that came with Size 8 I had to let go… I took my car, log book, keys and called someone and told them ‘kujia gari sahii, log book na keys before I change my mind… The funny thing, the only thing I did hold on to was the money but it went all with my moms’ treatment. I wished I had taken it to some children’s home maybe I wouldn’t have gone through what I had to,” Size 8 said.
Another risk she took when getting saved was giving up all the money she was raking in as a secular artiste.
At the time, she was in the middle of a tour with Bien, and he expressed his disappointment back then.
"I was going to lose money and I was ready for the economic downfall," she finished.
