Miss Tanzania 2006 Wema Sepetu is celebrating turning a year older.

Among the things she is grateful for is quitting alcohol. Through her socials, She penned a wonderful message to herself.

"I look back at where I've come from, what I've been through, what I learned... And I say to myself, "No Regrets"... Experience is a Great Teacher & I thank God for everything I battled, Everything I overcame, and everything I've achieved... God bless me to keep achieving more for myself and those around me... She held a grand party on Thursday, Sep 28, where her celebrity friends among them Hamisa Mobetto plus singer Nandy took to the podium to sing Happy Birthday.

A grateful Wema in an interview with Rickmediatz declared that she has been on a sobriety journey.She wanted a big party this time round to ring in her day.

"I wanted to cut a cake with my very close friends. I am the kind of person who likes to go big if I plan a party."

Wema also disclosed how old she is, "No comment, No comment," she said.

Her age has always been an issue netizens mock her about.There are milestones she is marking this year.

"I decided to just chill. I have everything to celebrate I celebrate my life but I also celebrate my love life, the blessings that I have been achieving, I celebrate being sober,"

She added that,

"People know my birthdays are the most important days and I celebrate them I take my birthdays very seriously a day like today I find it just beautiful."

She stopped drinking alcohol because she got tired of it plus it led to quarrels with her man. She went because she didn't want to lose her man.

"I have drank alcohol all these years and it has never helped me at all"

She has been sober for 9 months.
