Vihiga: Form 1 student dies after a vehicle rams into a group of 4 students

One student succumbed while several others were injured after a motor vehicle rammed into a group of Form One students at Igunga Girls High School in Vihiga County.
Confirming the incident, Sabatia Sub County OCPD Patrick Gogo noted that the students were crossing the road from their classes to their dormitories when the accident occurred.
According to authorities, the student died on the spot. The other three who were left with injuries were rushed to Vihiga Referal Hospital for medical attention.
"Today we had a nasty accident where a speeding motor vehicle knocked down four students one of whom succumbed on the spot. The other three were rushed to the hospitals and are in a stable condition," Gogo stated.
Meanwhile, the suspect, a medical doctor, has since been arrested and the vehicle was taken to Vihiga Police Station for inspection.
The suspect is set for arraignment in court to face various traffic offences including causing death and injury.
