Utawezana?: Shensea Reveals Qualities of Her Dream Man
Jamaican singer Shenseea is revealing that character wins over looks in the man of her dreams. The singer tweeted.
"I honestly care about how a man is on the inside and how he treats me way more than how he looks."
The mother of one has kept her relationships on the low key but is well known for her music career.
Past dating Revelations
In a 2022 interview on The Breakfast Club, an American syndicated radio show, Shenseea candidly shared details about her dating life.
At the time, she revealed she was in a relationship and that her longest relationship had lasted three years. She also disclosed that she had only dated two men in total.
Speaking on the challenges faced by female celebrities in relationships, she said, “I’ve seen how people classify females as ‘hoes’ because they break up with one person and move on to another.”
She also discussed the complexities of dating as a public figure, stating, “As a female, when you have so much going on—money, fame—you don’t know if a regular guy is really good for you. You don’t know if they want money, fame, or if they’re trying to set you up because they have nothing to lose.”
She stressed the importance of self-worth and not staying in harmful relationships to appease public opinion, adding, “You need to be with someone who also has something to lose. But even if things don’t work out or they abuse you, should you stay to please the public?”
Recent Dating Viewpoints
Shenseea’s November 2024 single, “Dating SZN,” stirred controversy with its bold narrative about dating multiple men.
Critics accused the dancehall star of promoting immorality and encouraging promiscuity among young girls.
However, in the song’s lyrics, Shenseea defended her stance, explaining that exploring different options helps her make better choices when selecting a partner.
Additionally during a brief stopover in Bali, Indonesia, shortly after the song's release, she interacted with fans through a live social media session.
While discussing what it takes to win her love, she playfully remarked, “I don’t want a man to tell me he loves me if he can’t get my name tattooed.” She then giggled, adding, “Okay, that’s not love.”
