"Utalia Sanaa": Vera Sidika Warns Women Against Believing Cooking or Cleaning Keeps a Man

Socialite and businesswoman Vera Sidika has shared strong advice for women, saying that cooking, cleaning, or even bedroom tricks are not enough to make a man stay in a relationship.

In an Instagram statement on Monday, September 15, 20025, she told women that no matter how much effort they put into cooking, cleaning, or even trying different tricks in the bedroom, it will never guarantee that a man will stay.

“Here to remind you that no amount of cooking, cleaning, cartwheels, monkey styles can EVER keep a man. Stay woke, sisters,” Vera wrote.

Her words are a warning to women who believe that going the extra mile in domestic roles or intimacy is the key to loyalty in a relationship. According to Vera, women should not put themselves under unnecessary pressure to hold on to men who are determined to leave.

A challenge to old beliefs

Vera’s remarks push back against long-standing cultural beliefs that a woman’s worth in a relationship is tied to how well she cooks, cleans, or pleases her partner. She argued that many women lose themselves by overcompensating in relationships, thinking it will stop a man from cheating or walking away.

Over the years, Vera has used her platform to speak on self-worth and female empowerment. This latest statement continues her trend of openly challenging the traditional expectations placed on women.

She is telling her followers, mostly women, to “stay woke,” as she highlighted the importance of women recognising their value outside of domestic or sexual duties.

The mother of two has built a reputation for being brutally honest about matters of love, marriage, and relationships. She has previously shared her personal experiences, often using them as a way to encourage women to put themselves first.

In her latest message, Vera stressed that women should stop carrying the burden of keeping relationships alive on their own. She insisted that true loyalty and commitment cannot be bought with sacrifices, insinuating that it must come willingly from the man.

Her words resonate at a time when conversations about gender roles and expectations are common both online and offline.
