Diamond Platnumz mother was a party girl. The mother of two who is populary known as Mama Dangote opened up to Wasafi media that she used to club.

Mama Dangote mentioned other Tanzanian celebrity mothers she went to disco with including Mama Dully Sykes, Mama Bob Junior among others.

"The last time I went to disco, I was nine months pregnant. I remember I went to the disco on Thursday, Friday and on Saturday I gave birth."

She is mother to Diamond Platnumz and Esma Khan.

Her family name has been a household name in East Africa, thanks to her son's celebrity status.

Mama Diamond is married to businessman Uncle Shamte. Recently, Shamte shut down rumours of depending on Diamond's mother's money.

"I am always at work but you guys say you don't see me. People have said I'm being kept. A kept man does not work. I then start showing my work, and you start saying I've been dumped, what do you want?" he explained. 

He went on to say that Mama Diamond has not dumped him as rumoured.

"Kuachwa ni kawaida lakini sio mwanamke kuacha mwanamme. Labda useme kanikataa, lakini ananikataa vipi mtu ambaye yuko ndani ya ndoa, ananikataa vipi mtu ambaye ni mke wangu?" he questioned.
