Stivo Simple Boy reveals the cause of his beef with Harmonize

Budding Kenya artist and social media personality Stevo Simple boy aka Stephen Odera has voiced his frustrations with Tanzanian multi-award-winning artist Harmonize.

According to Stevo, who is currently in Tanzania, the ‘Single Again’ hitmaker, Harmonize aka Konde Boy allegedly 'stole' a key line from one of his most viral hit songs, dubbed ‘Inauma’ and has never apologized for it nor tried to make amends.

The Shega hitmaker says that this has infuriated him to the extent that he wouldn't mind getting into a physical altercation with the Tanzanian singer.

Speaking to stbongotv, Stevo alleged that in his song ‘Hainistui’ Harmonize used the phrase ‘Ianuma itabidi uzoee’ without seeking his permission.

Due to this, the Kibra based singer is now demanding for a collaboration from Konde Boy. He stated that he is ready to go to war if the bongo artist doesn’t honor his demands or responds to his request with animosity.

“I have so many issues. One person I’m looking for is Harmonize,” started off Stevo Simple Boy in an interview.

Candidly adding, “There is a time he sang my song Inauma but Itabidi Uzoee. I’ve come here to his country for us to talk and work together,”

Using the media outlets to pass his message to Harmonize, the Mafi Mafi Mushkila singer said, “Reporter fikisha hii message say, 'Stevo Simple Boy Dragon of Africa wants to meet him'

" If he comes in peace, there will be no problem between us. Akikuja na fujo lazima fujo itendeke.”

Ironically, Harmonizes' song was released back in January 2020. This is four years ago.

Back then fellow upcoming artist Byzzo who featured in the song alongside Simple Boy called out Harmonize for “stealing” their song.

“Hata mimi nimeshinda kupigiwa simu natumiwa matexts mafans wanasema ngoma yetu ya ‘inauma but itabidi uzoee’ imeibwa na Harmonize bana. Na kutoka si tu upload hiyo ngoma hakuna mtu yeyote amewahi tuomba ruhusa kutumia hiyo ngoma.

Hata tumeongea na management yetu tumewauliza kama kuna communication imefanyika but wamesema hakuna though wanaendelea kuchunguza.

So venye si tuko hapa hatujui anything na hakuna mtu alituomba ruhusa,” said Byzzo at the time

Steve simple boy shared the video on his then Instagram page captioning it, “Habari ndio iyo, Hii inauma but itakua ngumu kuzoea.”

Stevo is in Tanzani with his protege Machabe accompanied by Gen Z Goliath. The trio have also been sightseeing.

On the 21st and 22nd December, he will be at Rumurti Stadium with Dufla Diligon and Iyanii for the Joali Tournament Season 2.
