Siaya: 61 year-old shopkeeper collapses and dies in his stall

A 61-year-old shopkeeper has been found dead in Gem, Siaya.
Siaya County Police Commander Cleti Kimaiyo said the businessman collapsed and died at Akala market on Wednesday evening.
The matter was reported at Akala police station by Kanyadet Assistant Chief Michael Owindu
“The businessman, who has been identified as Onyango Okinya, is a resident of Wambusa village. He is said to have collapsed and died in his stall.
Officers from Akala police station visited the scene. The body of the businessman had no visible injuries,” ” Kimaiyo said.
Preliminary investigations show that the deceased has been unwell for the last two months.
Okinya’s body was taken to Bondo Sub County Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
