Seven Dead After A Road Accident In Taita Taveta
Seven people died on the spot on Sunday morning after a matatu collided head-on with a truck at Miasenyi, Taita-Taveta county along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway.
According to eyewitnesses, the matatu belonging to Kinatwa company was heading towards Mombasa and was overtaking other vehicles before colliding with the truck.
The bodies of the deceased, among them the driver's, have been taken to the Moi Referral Hospital-Voi morgue.

Meanwhile, the injured have also been taken to the same facility as police launch a probe on the incident.
Drivers have been urged to remain vigilant as travelling peaks during the Christmas festivities.
