Rob Holding joins Crystal Palace in a permanent transfer

Rob Holding has joined Crystal Palace in a permanent transfer.

The 27-year-old defender made 162 appearances during his seven full seasons with Arsenal after joining from Bolton Wanderers in 2016 - being named as their Player of the Season in 2015/16.

At the end of his first season with us, Rob played a huge role in the 2017 FA Cup Final victory over Chelsea and was in the starting line-up again when Arsenal beat the same opponent on penalties to lift the FA Community Shield that August.

Rob once again proved himself to be the man for the big occasion when he lifted the FA Cup for a second time following another win over Chelsea in the final at Wembley in 2020, and went on to add a second FA Community Shield to his honours list, playing the full 90 minutes in Arsenal's victory against Liverpool on penalties.

A former England U-21 international, Rob was part of the side which won the prestigious Toulon Tournament in 2016.

The £4 million deal is subject to the completion of regulatory processes.
