Kenyan artists Bahati and Willy Paul seem to have put their rivalry aside by announcing that they will be releasing two songs on January 31, 2025.

Both artists made the announcement on their social media platforms stating that they are bound to get their shine back.

They will be releasing two songs at 10 am.

Diana accuses Willy Paul of sexual assault

“Two kings, two songs, Double Trouble. Both songs dropping tomorrow at exactly 10 am. Tell your favourite artists to hold their releases. Doing it for the Kenyan music industry. Let us get our shine back. This is the time bro one love,” stated Willy Paul.

The news comes as a surprise as the two artists have not been on good terms for a very long time. The beef began when the two artists started getting noticed in the music industry accusing each other of stealing ideas and songs.

The rivalry grew over time as the artists grew in their own capacities. In 2021, Willy Paul criticized Bahati for ranking among Kenya’s top artists arguing he was far better than him. Bahati responded by questioning Willy Paul’s consistency and authenticity.

Still, in 2021, Bahati’s wife Diana Marua accused Willy Paul of attempting to sexually assault her. She posted a video on YouTube to justify her claims.

Bahati and Willy Paul reconcile

Willy Paul however refuted the claims and even went ahead to sue Diana for defamation. He claimed that Diana was using her to chase clout and to tarnish his image.

In 2024 however, Willy Paul came out and apologized to Bahati and Diana admitting that he had wronged the couple several times.

“Looking back on my experiences with my brother, I recognize that I have occasionally crossed boundaries. My actions were never intended to cause harm, but I understand that they were perceived that way, and I sincerely apologize to Diana and the kids For the Misunderstanding Much love,” stated Willy Paul.

Bahati responded by stating that he has accepted the apology as they go back a long way. The court case was also withdrawn.
