Residents living near the Kitui-Tana river county border have raised alarm over incessant clashes and insecurity.
A section of leaders have called for a ceasefire and urged the government to look for a permanent solution.
Mutha MCA Dominic Mwamisi lamented that his ward is one of the worst affected by the clashes.
"Locals are living in fear after a newly built police station was vandalized by herders from Tana River and so far no one has been arrested," he said on Wednesday.
Leaders and locals agreed to have a major security meeting next week to chart a way forward to end the clashes.
