Grammy-winning Nigerian star Burna Boy is set to perform in Kenya at his much-anticipated concert on March 1, 2025, at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.
Being a star of his calibre means that he has a list of demands that must be met before he accepts to perform.
From a private jet to a five-star hotel for him and his team, Burna’s demands speak for his regard for opulence and luxury.
Burna Boy charging Ksh 123 million
Burna Boy is coming to Kenya courtesy of the Madfun group; an events production, travel, and ticketing company. The Managing Director, Joy Wachira, while speaking at an interview on Business Daily, shared the details of the Nigerian Star’s performance.
Burna’s first performance in Kenya six years ago, saw him earn Ksh 5 million as his performance fee. In 2025, the price is twenty-five times higher. His performance fee for this year’s concert is Ksh 125 million.

According to Joy, the fact that he is performing in Africa does not mean that he would charge a lower fee.
Burna will come to Kenya with a team of over 60 people. The team entails a band, ‘The Outsiders’, his manager, and his close associates.
The award winner flies in a private jet. This is a vital requirement that anyone who wants to book the artist must meet. This jet is meant for him, his manager, and his close associates only. The rest of the team flies separately.
Hotel must have a smoking suite
The jet must be vetted and approved by his management to ensure they are up to standard.
When it comes to accommodation, Burna does five-star hotels only. His room must have bottles of carbonated water and fruits. The hotel should have a reserved smoking executive suite.
For his performance, the host should provide a green room where his crew can relax before performing. The green room must be made exclusive and must have a smoking chamber.
