President William Ruto has officially opened the Kerugoya Referral Hospital, Kirinyaga County.

The Kerugoya hospital will be equipped with modern diagnostic medical equipment to handle specialized treatment in order to boost the implementation of the Universal Health Coverage for the majority of people living in Kerugoya town and its environs.

The Kerugoya Level 5 Hospital will be a game-changer for Kirinyaga County. It will create employment opportunities, attract medical tourism, and elevate the overall well-being of our region.

The hospital will be a relief to residents who will receive specialised medical services in the county. Some of the services that will be offered at the hospital include comprehensive outpatient department services, in-patient services, specialized medical services including paediatrics, ear, nose and throat (ENT).

The 350 beds in the wards are fitted with reliable oxygen gas that is produced at the hospital’s medical gas.

Opening of the Level Five Hospital, therefore means that services such as ICU, renal and many more will greatly improve.
