Police in Machakos are searching for a man who fatally stabbed his friend during a disagreement in Tala market, Matungulu sub-county, Machakos county.

The victim, Kevin Kanzeke Muli, was stabbed in his chest during a disagreement with his friend on Friday as they grazed their cows.

He was rushed to Matungulu Medical Services clinic, however he was pronounced dead on arrival.

John Mutuku Mutua, the deceased's uncle, said he was called while at work and told his nephew had been stabbed and rushed to a hospital in Tala Town.

"I enquired what transpired and was told that he left home and found boys playing football near where goats were grazing. Upon asking the suspect why the boys were playing near the farm, he stabbed him in the chest. He was then rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival," he said.

Boniface Makau Mutua, another uncle of the deceased, said his nephew had been working at a building site in Tala town.

He called for justice to be done and the culprit brought to book.
