Hon. Oscar Sudi has publicly commended Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu Hassan for her what he terms as resolute approach to safeguarding her nation's interests.
“Hongera Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan Rais wa Muungano wa Tanzania kwa kuwa jasiri wa kulinda nchi yako,” he said translating to, "Congratulations to Mama Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, for being brave in protecting your country."
He further advised, "Let's focus on domestic priorities, refraining from interference in external affairs to prevent unnecessary diplomatic tensions."
His remarks, shared via a video on social media platform X, he made a call for Kenya to prioritize domestic issues and refrain from meddling in the affairs of neighboring countries.
“Ingekuwa ni mimi, ningewaweka kiboko mbili mbili kwa siku mbili. Hii Kimbelembele yetu ya hapa Kenya usipeleke nchi ingine,” he said.
“Wakikuja next time make sure wamekula maharagwe,” which simply implies that Sudi was encouraging the Tanzanian authorities to make sure if they ever stepped into their soil again, they should be taken to prison.
Diplomatic tensions between Kenya and Tanzania have for the past few days escalated following the deportation of prominent Kenyan activists.
Seeveral high-profile Kenyan figures, including former Justice Minister Martha Karua and former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga, were denied entry into Tanzania.
They had intended to observe the court proceedings of Lissu, who was facing treason charges related to alleged calls for public rebellion ahead of Tanzania's October elections.

The deportations were part of a broader crackdown on foreign activists, with Ugandan lawyer Agather Atuhaire and Kenyan activist Boniface Mwangi also detained and subsequently deported.
President Samia, warned against "foreign interference" in Tanzania's internal affairs, stating that she would not tolerate efforts to undermine the country's peace and stability.
"We will not allow anyone to invade and interfere in our affairs," she declared.
The incident has drawn sharp reactions, from different leaders across East Africa and beyond.
