Nigerian sensation Temsreal name Temilade Opeinyi has dropped her highly anticipated debut album 'Born in the Wild'
The album is set to make waves globally.
Tems is among the most listened-to female musicians not only in Africa but worldwide, she has been added to over 21.4 million playlists.
Among her most streamed songs on the music platform, Spotify includes Love Me, Jeje, Me $ U, Higher, Free Mind, Fountain, Found Featuring Brent Faiyaz, and Damages among others.
Kenyan singer Bien recently confirmed Tem's as his crush. Maybe that explains why Tem's audience is made up of 50% male fans and 47 % female fans.
To prove she is an international brand in the last 28 days her top streams on Spotify were from The United States and the United Kingdom.
Other countries she is most listened to include Nigeria, Canada, Australia, Germany, South Africa, France, Brazil, and the Netherlands.
In 2023, Tems was the first Nigerian Female artist to win a Grammy Award.
Tems is also a nominee for the 2024 BET Awards.
The “BET Awards” 2024 is scheduled to air live on BET on Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 8 PM ET/PT.
She has almost 900K subscribers on her YouTube channel.
Speaking during an interview with Hot97, Tems recently recalled how she almost didn't pursue her music career.
To make her parents proud she got a white collar job. That whoever changed when she got signed to a music label.
"When I got signed I was like... you know the thing is I have been writing music since I was 11 years old, and I was just like do I want to be here (working) for the next 10 years? What do I want? Is this it? And I was like, naah I would rather die than remain here," Tems candidly said as she let out a chuckle.
