NACADA hails Stivo simple boy for his decision to stay away from drugs

Stevo Simple Boy rejected a bottle of Champagne by Noriega Donself recently, as he spoke about his life in a new interview. "I have said that young people say no to drugs."
Stevo as well declined an offer of cigars from the music manager, insisting Kenyans should say no to drugs
"Hii no mihadarati, tobacco falls under drugs. It is a drug. Shout about it."
He went on to speak about his career in music, and informed Kenyans he will having a major event to celebrate five years in the industry.
NACADA Kenya on its social media hailed Stevo after Nairobi Gossip Club had shared pieces of that interview.
"Vile Inafaa . Glorification of drug use by content creators should stop. Drugs are not the only way to act and stay cool. Hapo ulicheza kama wewe stevosimpelboy au sio?"
The song 'Mihadarati' was released six years ago, and currently has more than one million views.
The video to the song was shot in Kibera, his neighborhood, where he cautioned against drug abuse.
"The song Mihadarati just came to my mind. I had an idea and entered the studio," he said about being given a beat, and the creative process behind the popular song.
The song went viral on the internet in 2019 after he attended The Chipuukezy Show on Ebru TV.
The Shega hitmaker delved into the matter of previous managers, and his new outlook on his career explaining that they were not able to have a good working relationship because of different ideologies.
Stevo started his musical career in 2006 as a street performer who used to sing and perform to passersby and traders who sold goods by the roadside along the streets of Kibera.
In 2008, he was discovered by the award winning comedian Geoffrey Oyoo who introduced him to Kibera Creative Arts, where his talent was further nurtured and developed through rehearsals.
