"My net worth increased by ksh 27.6 million during my tenure as a CS" Davis Chirchir reveals

Roads, Transport and Public Works Cabinet Secretary nominee Davis Chirchir has put his net worth at Sh509.8 million.
Appearing before the Committee on Appointments for vetting, Chirchir said he has had “a small increase” of wealth by Sh27.6 million during the period he served as Energy CS.
In October 2022, Chirchir told the vetting committee that he was worth Sh482.2 million.
He said these include a house in Spring Valley, properties in Westlands, vehicles, money in bank accounts and investments in the tea sector.
"The Sh482.2 million is tabulated as farms, a house in Spring Valley at Sh95 million, some rental property in Westlands, Matundu valued at Sh50 million, vehicles, bank accounts, investment in a family tea value addition business at Sh185 million," he said .
Chirchir was at some point in charge of the Energy docket during former President Uhuru Kenyatta's reign.
He also worked as the Chief of Staff in Ruto's office when he was the Deputy President.
