Mwingi: 21 months old twins burnt to death after a house inferno

A family from Cha Ngoo village in Mwingi has been thrown into mourning after their twins were burnt to death in a house inferno on Wednesday.
The children had been left they sleeping as their mother went to work at her shop nearby.
The twins were one year and nine months old.
Neighbours had tried to put out the fire but were unable to save the children.
Barnard Musili, the chief, confirmed the tragedy and said that the bodies of the children were taken to Mwingi Hospital mortuary.
"The cause of the fire is yet to be established," he said
Mutati Kavengi, the father of the children, was overcome by grief and unable to speak.
He had been working in Nairobi and travelled to Mwingi upon hearing the news.
