The body of Justus Mutumwa was positively identified at the Nairobi Funeral Home, formerly known as City Mortuary. Mutumwa went missing on December 16, 2024, alongside Martin Mwau and Karani Muema. For over a month, the whereabouts of the three men remained unknown.
According to Mutumwa's family, they were informed that the body had been collected from Ruai and taken to the Nairobi Funeral Home on December 18th — just two days after Mutumwa disappeared.
This discovery comes amidst repeated denials by top police agencies regarding the whereabouts of the three young men.
After defying several court summons concerning the matter, Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja and Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Mohammed Amin finally appeared in court on Thursday, where they denied knowing the whereabouts of the three men.
Amin informed the court that the matter was still under investigation.
