Police are tracing a woman aged 34 years who was kidnapped by unknown people who also defiled her daughter on the night of January 13, 2024 in Alego East sub location, Awendo Sub County.

Area Assistant chief Emma Wanga said the girl reported that three people who masked their faces  accessed their house in the night and two whisked away her mother while one who remained  in the house defiled her before leaving to join the two who have disappeared  with her mother.

Wanga said the girl who was left much tensed after the suspect threatened to kill her endured the ordeal in the main houuse until morning when she reported the matter.

The area Assistant chief said the mother of the girl who was abducted by the three unknown people has not been traced adding that the police have mounted the search.

The girl was taken to hospital for treatment as police trace her mother who is suspected to be still in the hand of the abductors.

She said the incident happened when the father of the girl was away in Siaya County where he works.

The area Assistant chief has called on members of the public with any information that can help in investigations to report to the police.
