On Sunday, Faith Mutindi gifted pastor Kanyari a pack of condoms at the altar, an incident which has created a very serious debate and criticism on social media platforms.
The businesswoman handed Kanyari a small package wrapped in newspaper. Upon opening it, Kanyari, who was standing at the altar, revealed the three items: a kotex liner, Arimis petroleum jelly, and a packet of condoms.
Faith then confessed that she had dreamt of having a grand wedding with Kanyari. The bold woman noted that she knew many women were interested in Kanyari’s love and advised him to use protection.
Speaking in an interview with Trudy Kitui, Faith said she cannot apologize since she did nothing wrong.
According to her, the church requires a bold person who can educate the congregation on importance of safe sex and she was just playing her part.
Addressing those who are bashing her for presenting such gifts to a man of God, she claimed that people should not be ashamed of talking about safe practices adding that she also gifted him money and other things but people are so quick to judge.
Faith said that her actions did not contribute to Pastor Kanyari's defamation since he had been trending even before she was born. She added that she is a single mother who takes care of her bills doing various businesses and she leads a decent life.
Earlier, Pastor Kanyari defended Faith's actions by drawing a connection relating the incident to a biblical story where a woman accused of prostitution was about to be stoned for her sins, suggesting that judgment should be left to God.
He urged fans to rush to her pages and talk to her so that maybe she can change.
“Endeni hata kwa page yake mjae huko mumuongeleshe mambo ya Mungu atabadilika,” he encouraged.
