Kristina Pratt Kenyatta Among Kenyans Conferred With National Honours By President Ruto

President William Ruto awarded national honours and accolades to 881 distinguished Kenyans at a conferment ceremony held at State House in Nairobi, on Jamhuri Day, December 12, 2025.
Those who were honoured included Attorney General Dorcas Odour, Kristina Pratt Kenyatta (sister of former President Uhuru Kenyatta) and Kajiado Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, all of whom were awarded the Second Class of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.).
Ruto also awarded the Second Class E.G.H. to his Cabinet Secretaries William Kabogo, Debora Barasa and Lee Kinyanjui, as well as to Jaffer Mohamed.
Kenya Army Lieutenant General Keter Kipkemboi and Kenya Air Force Commander Major General Waliaula Bernerd were both awarded the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H.).

Mary Chebukati, the widow of the former IEBC Chairperson Wafula Chebukati, Nominated Senator Veronica Maina and MP Didmus Barasa, together with 79 others, were conferred with the Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear (C.B.S.).
A total of 74 Kenyans were conferred with the Elder of the Burning Spear (E.B.S.). They included Mwai Daniel, Justice Kanyi Kimondo, Brig. Adan Hassan, among others.
235 Kenyans were conferred with the Moran of the Order of the Burning Spear (M.B.S.) for their distinguished and outstanding service to the nation in various capacities, including public service, academia, the arts and security.
The Order of the Grand Warrior (O.G.W.), which is awarded to individuals who go above and beyond their ordinary duties and often recognizes acts of valour and self-sacrifice for the good of the country, was conferred to 164 brave Kenyans.
Musician Ian Oure, who goes by the stage name Iyanii, who has produced hits like 'Donjo Maber', was conferred with the Head of State Commendation (H.S.C.) Civilian Division Award for his outstanding performance in the music industry.
A total of 88 Kenyans were awarded the H.S.C. Civilian Division Award, which is awarded to individuals who demonstrate exemplary qualities, actions, or achievements of patriotism or leadership for the benefit of the country.
189 military officers were conferred with Head of State Commendation (H.S.C.) Military Division for their actions of sacrifice and heroism.
President Ruto also posthumously honoured the three officers who passed on while in the MSS mission in Haiti with the Silver Star Medals. Another 38 individuals were conferred with the Silver Star Medals.
Ruto also awarded two other officers with Distinguished Silver Medals - Jairus Okoyo and Njeru Gilbert.
